It is crucial to take into account both the centralised and decentralised drive types found in the industry when examining the drive type of an electric stacker.

  • Centralised

The drive wheel of some powered stacker models is located in the center of the vehicle. Four extra points of ground contact are created by adding support wheels to each corner. This type of drive works well even though it increases traction on the drive wheel as well. This makes it easy for the truck to navigate over ramps and bumps, but it also makes the drive less stable as it depends more on the support wheels.
